Psychotherapy:
In Germany, psychotherapy is covered by both statutory and private health insurance, so that anyone who needs therapy can get it, regardless of whether they are rich or poor. According to a study on adult health conducted by the Robert Koch Institute, 27.8% of the adult population in Germany are affected by a mental illness each year. That’s 17.8 million people. Anxiety disorders, affective disorders such as depression and addictions, especially alcohol and drug addiction, are the most common. Women tend to suffer more from anxiety disorders and depression, while men tend to suffer more from aggressiveness and addictions. There are 39,627 licensed psychotherapists in Germany, which is far too few and leads to long waiting times.
In my practice, I offer the following psychotherapies:
- Individual psychotherapy using the methods
- Psychoanalysis (standard method) with 2-5 sessions per week (max. 300 sessions)
- Psychoanalytical trauma therapy with 2-5 sessions per week (max. 300 sessions)
- Psychodynamic based psychotherapy for limited conflicts and objectives with 1 session per week (max. 100 sessions)
- Psychodynamic short-term therapy with 1-4 hours per week (max. 24 sessions)
- Psychoanalytic group therapy with 8-9 participants once a week, 110 minutes, maximum 150 sessions
I specialize in treating the following disorders:
- borderline personality disorders (borderline syndrome)
- trauma disorders
- eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating)
- narcissistic (self-esteem) disorders
